- Oftentimes described as a sweet and woody scent with notes of lemon, frankincense is an aromatic resin that's extracted from the bark of Boswellia trees. Today, the essential oil is used in an array of products including incense, perfume, candles, and even some skin care products.
- During the early hunt for perfumes substances, the ancient civilizations discovered resin. They are derived from the barks of trees, when burnt they release an intense yet pleasant woody aroma that enchants the entire space around it. At present, resins are mostly associated with religious ceremonies held at holy places.
- Resin are natural or synthetic organic compounds consisting of a non-crystalline or viscous liquid substance. Resins are flammable organic substances that are transparent or translucent and are yellowish & brown in color. Resins often accentuate the senses wherefore these are used for aesthetic reasons, therapy, meditation, and ceremonies.
- How to Use: Set a charcoal tablet in a container on a bed of sand and light the tablet. Slowly fan or blow on the tablet. Only after charcoal is a glow and stops crackling, put the resin incense on the top. Use a knife spoons or tweezers to drop the resin incense onto the tablet. Set aside enough time so that you can enjoy the ritual incense burning. When selecting a location, make sure there are no combustible objects nearby.
